The movie Waking Life poses an interesting question about human existence. Are we alive, awake, real? Or are we all sleepwalking through our lives, completely unaware of our actual metaphysical state of being? Can we ever know? The Matrix also touches on this subject. Are we just figments of our collective imagination? Are we “plugged in”?
